The background is set in the near future. The protagonists are senior inspectors John Major and Roy Carver (Daniel mays and Stephen Graham); John and Roy are partners of the fight crime elite in the team. However, when an undercover mission went wrong and John died on duty, the police force decided to transfer John's consciousness to an experimental artificial intelligence project to revive the protagonist because they thought he was an indispensable "asset.". The problem is that although John Major 2.0 seems to be the original product, it has actually lost a lot of things in the process of consciousness transfer. Now his arrogant behavior and overly enthusiastic attitude are still there, but his intuition for solving the case is all lost.
