The second season will continue three months after Tom was kidnapped. When Tom explains to the aliens why humans are resisting, John Pope, played by Colin Cunningham, temporarily becomes the leader. It is reported that there will be no "flashback" of foreplay in the return of the second season, so Tom's return and his relationship with pop will likely become an important part of the premiere of the second season.
